Sports management specialization offers professional preparation in the application of business principles to the sports industry. Students will complete a degree program that includes courses in accounting, management, marketing, economics, and computer applications. Sports management courses will focus on the business aspects of sports in culture, sports information, interscholastic intercollegiate and professional sports, facility management, sports ethics, sports marketing, sports law, and sports finance.

Such facilities often combine other leisure activities along with stay and catering facilities to ensure membership and usage. Golf clubs and resorts as well as adventure sports or any other leisure activity centre requires trained personnel to manage and promote these sporting activities.
